Satellite IVVQ RF ENGINEER – Thales Alenia Space We are a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), delivering high‑tech solutions for space. We are seeking a Satellite IVVQ RF Engineer to support the design, development, and verification of RF systems for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and on‑board image storage and transmission (PDHT) with TT&C capability. Responsibilities Manage technical requirements from specification tree to traceability between system layers (platform, payload, satellite). Use DOORS or Polarion for requirements management; create flow‑down concepts, traceability matrices, and impact analyses (CR/CN, RFD/W). Work with ECSS standards and project documentation (DDP, model philosophy) to ensure all requirements are captured and verifiable. Co‑engineer with project teams on requirement clarity and completeness of the requirements database. Define and manage verification plans (qualification, acceptance) for RF components, SAR payload, PDHT, and TT&C systems. Apply ECSS verification and testing standards; create and maintain verification control documents (VCD/DVCM). Use DOORS/Polarion for verification activities; support internal and customer‑facing boards for verification validation (VCB). Define test requirements and test plans for integrated satellite level; manage changes and evaluate test results. Participate in test campaigns, including overseas, and produce test evaluation reports. Support completion of verification cycle with final VCDs and VCBs. Qualifications Experience in RF systems, particularly SAR, on‑board image storage/transmission, and TT&C. Strong background in technical requirements management and traceability. Familiarity with DOORS/Polarion, ECSS standards, and project development documentation. Experience in verification engineering and test planning for spaceborne RF systems. Education: Engineering degree (preferable in Electrical/Communications/Space Systems).
