Mission
General definition
Responsible for execution and control of design activities related Light Rail Signalling systems for tramway infrastructure
1/ Contribute to successful Project execution on allocated sub-system scope of work:
* Apply Project Strategy according to defined contractual and Project commitments and targets, as allocated on sub-system.
* Actively contributes to the overall Project performance, by timely alerting in case of deviations happening at the sub-system/slevel, which impact the project objectives and also by actively contributing to the management of risks, savings andopportunities.
* Ensure compliance with applicable rules, instructions and standards, process & tools: Code of Ethics & Compliance,Environment Health & Safety, Railway Safety, Quality, PMM and all Métiers involved in sub-system scope.
2/ Lead and coordinate sub-system activities and stakeholders:
* Manage sub-system Resources (e.g: internal designers,external designers,supplier,etc…)
* Perform requirement capture/analysis
* Interface milestones with R&D and Product Development for LRS Sub Systems
* Define Sub System architecture
* Define Sub System Power Supply needs
* Specify cables and installation constraints.
* Define installation constraints to enable Installation Engineering and Design
3/ Coordinate and synchronize sub-system activities with other sub-Systems and project teams:
* Actively contribute to the resolution of overarching/transverse optimizations or issues
* Manage interface with project-level team members & project office (e.g., industrial, control of configuration management,procurement, quality…) and ask, if necessary, for PM arbitration
Performance measurements:
* Delivery of sub-system in accordance with QCD targets (QCD KPIs) and all contractual requirements
* Sub-system gate review on time
* Compliance with Project Strategy according to defined contractual and Project commitments and targets, as allocated on subsystem.
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge / Experience (Necessary/Desirable)
Master degree or bachelor degree(Mechanical/Electronics/Mechatronics engineering)
Educational Requirements(Necessary/Desirable)
Mandatory:
* Experience in tramway/railway signalling
* 1 year of experience as manager/coordinator of an operationalscope
Desirable:
* Experience of working in and with multi-nationalcompanies and in different business cultures
* Knowledgeable of ALSTOM way of working forefficient process execution
Behavioural Skills / Competencies (Necessary/Desirable)
* Global knowledge of the sub-system
* CAD skills such as to guide the internal/external designers or operate directly if needed on files into CAD authoring tools(AutoCAD/Draftsight)
* Coordination skills of internal/external desing resources
* Coordination skills of cross-functional resources as per company procedures
* Capacity to coordinate and ensure collaboration of multi-site/multi-functional teams
* Good communication skills
* Result oriented
* Knowledge of Project management processes (desiderable)
