Join us and be part of a mission that transforms lives.REPORTS TO: Direct Procurement Cluster Lead, TAPI Italy & MexicoJob PurposeThe Direct Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to secure high-quality, cost-efficient materials and services essential to the organization’s operations. This role involves supplier selection and management, contract negotiations, and ensuring procurement aligns with the company’s goals of efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. The Direct Procurement Manager will drive continuous improvements of procurement processes and will lead local initiatives while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesOperational Efficiency: Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management, to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key local and global suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains and favorable terms.Develop and manage sourcing strategies for critical raw materials used in API manufacturing, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost-effectivenessMonitor global supply trends and risks related to raw materials to ensure continuity and resilience in the supply chainCompliance and Risk Management: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Manage risks associated with supply contracts and agreements.Ensures the implementation of global and local initiativesIdentifies opportunities to consolidate locally managed categories at the country-wide level, in alignment with the Global Procurement Policy and Global Procurement Category ManagementEnsures realization of the savings targets for the category/siteNegotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.Stakeholder Management: Manage, engage and influence key stakeholdersDrives continuous improvement of Direct Procurement processesQualificationsAt least 5-10 years experience in Pharma, API, Intermediates, Raw materials Direct Procurement.Master's degree in natural sciences, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology or equivalent is mandatory.
