PpRINA is currently recruiting for a bMarine Engineering - Head of Discipline /b to join its office in Genoa, Viareggio or La Spezia, Italy within the bMechanical and Materials Engineering /b Division. /ppbMission /b /ppThe bHead of the Marine Engineering Discipline /b is a key leadership position responsible for driving development and excellence, in the various fields of the marine sector, within the Discipline. /ppThis role drives collaboration, knowledge sharing and the ongoing development of the Discipline to deliver high-quality consulting services to RINA marine Clients. /ppThe Head of Discipline works with Business Units (BUs) and Business Development Managers (BDM), in particular with RINA Marine Consulting (RMC), the other Disciplines of the Practice and other RINA Units to ensure the Discipline alignment with strategic goals, maintain high technical standards and deliver innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs. /ppbKey Accountabilities /b /pulliTechnical Leadership and Guidance: Define and communicate the technical vision for the Discipline, ensuring alignment with the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Practice goals; Provide mentorship and direction to team members; Evaluate technical risks associated with marine projects /liliOffering Issuance and Technical Support: Collaborate with BDMs and BUs, in particular with RINA Marine Consulting (RMC) to support the preparation of technical offerings, ensuring that the Discipline team’s competencies are properly leveraged; Actively participate in identifying, scoping and presenting technical solutions that meet the client’s needs, driving successful business development. /liliSkill Development and Talent Management: Lead the development and ongoing update of the Discipline's skills portfolio, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives provided by the Discipline Governor; Identify skill gaps within the Discipline team and plan corrective actions, including the evolution or development of new Disciplines or technical specializations; Encourage continuous professional growth and learning through training, certifications, mentoring, and providing opportunities to enhance skills and expertise within the Discipline. /liliEffective Communication /liliPromoting Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Foster a collaborative work environment within the Discipline, encouraging open knowledge exchange, innovation and teamwork among members with complementary skill sets; Facilitate the sharing of technical knowledge and experience across Disciplines, promoting cross-functional collaboration and maximizing resource utilization; Oversee staffing decisions within the Discipline, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated to projects based on business priorities and technical requirements;
