A physical breach can compromise entire digital ecosystems. Billions of devices operate with little to no protection, and traditional approaches can't keep up. Not at this scale, not at this speed, and not across this diversity of systems.
Exein exists to solve this. We build the security layer for a world where physical and digital threats are no longer separate problems, from kernel-level runtime protection on embedded devices to cloud-native platforms that analyze, protect, and prove compliance across entire device fleets. Job Overview
You'll design and execute test strategies that span firmware analysis correctness, runtime detection accuracy, platform APIs, and customer-facing interfaces. This isn't standard web QA: you'll work with diverse hardware architectures, kernel-level instrumentation, and large firmware corpora. You'll partner with engineering, DevSecOps, and product to make sure every release is reliable, performant, and worthy of the systems our customers run on critical infrastructure.
What you'll do
* Design and execute test plans across our analysis pipeline, runtime agent, platform APIs, and web interfaces
* Build and maintain automated test frameworks for API, integration, and end-to-end testing
* Validate detection accuracy and performance: false-positive/negative rates in firmware analysis, runtime detection precision, resource overhead on constrained devices
* Test across heterogeneous environments, multiple Linux distributions, kernel versions, CPU architectures, and firmware types
* Integrate tests into our CI/CD pipelines so quality scales with our release cadence
* Investigate, document, and triage defects in close collaboration with engineering; support root cause analysis on complex, cross-layer issues
* Help raise the QA bar across the org: testing standards, regression coverage, release gating
What we're looking for
* Proven QA experience in technically demanding environments: cybersecurity, systems software, infrastructure, or deep-tech
* Strong scripting (Python or similar) and comfort reading code in compiled languages: Rust or C/C++ exposure is a plus, since much of our stack is Rust
* Hands-on experience with API testing (REST/GraphQL), integration testing, and validating distributed systems
* Working knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar) and modern DevOps workflows
* Solid grasp of secure development principles, common vulnerability classes (OWASP, CVE/CWE), and the threat models we work against
* Strong understanding how to test for realistic customer use cases
* English fluent - the first interview will be held in english. Other languages are a plus
* Bonus: exposure to Linux internals, eBPF, embedded systems, firmware, or kernel-level work — even at a familiarity level
* Bonus: experience with frontend test automation (Playwright, Cypress) for our customer-facing dashboards
