The Technology Domain Architect partners with business and technology stakeholders to define and evolve the target technology architecture, ensuring it supports enterprise strategies, enables scalability and security, and drives operational efficiency. The Technology Domain Architect also acts as a strategic advisor, shaping and delivering initiatives that modernise and optimise the organisation’s technology foundation. /p h3Key Capability Accountabilities /h3 ul liPartner with business and technology stakeholders to define and evolve the target technology architecture, in line with enterprise and functional strategies. /li liIdentify opportunities to modernise, consolidate, or optimise technology assets to increase scalability, reduce technical debt, and improve cost-efficiency. /li liDocument and maintain the current technology architecture and define transition states to realise the desired target state. /li liTranslate the target state technology architecture into a set of strategic initiatives and roadmaps required to evolve the underlying technology landscape. /li liPartner with the wider Enterprise Architecture function and Value Streams to analyse the impact of the target technology architecture on data, applications, and business processes. /li liLead and / or support the development of business cases required to deliver the target technology architecture, including cost-benefit and risk analysis. /li liWork alongside the Enterprise Architecture Senior Manager to define and evolve architectural principles, standards, and guardrails relevant to infrastructure, cloud, and platform design. /li liEnsure that both the technology architecture development process and its outputs comply with organisational standards, policies, and governance. /li liAnalyse industry and technology trends to determine their potential impact on the organisation’s technical landscape. /li liElicit and analyse strategic technology requirements, partnering with infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity teams to ensure a secure and scalable foundation. /li liProactively identify and mitigate technical risks related to technology architecture initiatives, ensuring system reliability and compliance with internal and external standards. /li liCollaborate with Solution Architects, Infrastructure Leads, and Engineering teams to implement architectural strategies and ensure alignment with the broader enterprise architecture vision. /li /ul h3Objectives /h3 pEstablish, own, and evolve the technology architecture for the organisation, including but not limited to infrastructure, cloud services, technical platforms, and other enabling technologies. /p pDefine and secure buy-in for the target state technology architecture and the strategic initiatives and / or roadmaps required to realise this outcome.
