Key responsibilities Design and manage high and medium voltage substation systems across multiple geographical regions Develop comprehensive electrical infrastructure designs using advanced engineering software Collaborate with regional vendors, manufacturers, and utility providers to specify optimal electrical equipment Create detailed construction documents and technical specifications that meet rigorous quality standards Support project lifecycle from site selection through commissioning and system validation A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of technical design, collaborative problem-solving, and strategic planning. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline Minimum 8 years of experience in Substations design Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and power systems modeling software Strong understanding of electrical system design principles Technical knowledge of power distribution and substation infrastructure Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and engineering drawings Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or advanced technical specialization Experience with international electrical standards and compliance requirements Advanced certification in power systems engineering Familiarity with renewable energy infrastructure design Multilingual communication skills 3 years of experience directly related to data center or mission critical facility design Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
