On behalf of a multinational company with multiple production plants and commercial branches in Italy and abroad, we are seeking a Head of IT to join their headquarters.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Group CFO, the Head of IT will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of the company’s IT infrastructures and core business platforms, with a particular focus on the SAP ERP system and the information systems supporting Operations and Manufacturing, which have recently been the subject of significant investments.
The professional will coordinate the Group IT team, overseeing system maintenance, continuous improvement, and user support, with the goal of ensuring business continuity and maximizing the efficiency of corporate and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day IT operations, including networks, systems, data centers, workstations, telephony, and collaboration tools.
* Oversee and maintain the SAP ERP system and the IT systems supporting Operations and Manufacturing, ensuring user support and system enhancements aligned with business and production needs.
* Coordinate the IT team across headquarters and subsidiaries, ensuring service quality and responsiveness.
* Ensure the functionality and integration of Microsoft platforms.
* Monitor and manage cybersecurity and regulatory compliance (GDPR and others).
* Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring service quality, business continuity, and cost optimization.
* Support digitalization and process automation projects, with a strong focus on practical and effective implementation.
* Contribute to ICT budget planning and management, monitoring operational costs and ROI.
Requirements
* Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
* 7–10 years of experience in IT roles with a strong operational focus in managing infrastructures, ERP systems, and information systems for Operations/Manufacturing.
* Proven experience in the management and maintenance of SAP and other ERP platforms.
* Solid technical expertise in IT infrastructures, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and GDPR compliance.
* Experience in coordinating IT teams and managing external vendors, with a pragmatic, results-oriented approach.
* Knowledge of Microsoft platforms.
* Fluent in English; knowledge of a second foreign language is a plus.
* Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
