Plant Quality & Food Safety Manager Oricola
Location: Oricola plant, Italy; part of Coca‑Cola HBC Italia, one of six facilities across Italy.
Job Overview
The Plant Quality & Food Safety Manager ensures that internal, external and legal product and production process QFS standards & guidelines are met, actively creating an “Always Audit Ready” organization with best‑in‑class quality and food safety performances.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and improve quality assurance processes at the plant level in accordance with CCH, TCCC and applicable legal & regulatory requirements.
- Maintain effective QFS systems to ensure product and package quality; support manufacturing to produce quality product.
- Lead and chair the Plant cross‑functional Food Safety Team; ensure legal, KORE and CCHBC Group requirements are understood and implemented.
- Develop and execute continuous improvement strategy where “quality is everyone’s responsibility.”
- Coordinate and verify laboratory activities, including team management, cost control, equipment calibration, and validation.
- Lead risk assessment, change management, validations and new product implementation (NPI); supervise data collection and mitigation plan execution.
- Plan and conduct revalidation programs and monitor CAPA implementation.
- Lead the quality release processes of blocked products, ingredients or raw materials; develop proactive trend analysis and alert levels.
- Escalate events that influence or may influence quality and food safety to Plant Manager and Country QSE; provide recommendations.
- Lead internal audits, housekeeping checks and GMP programs; close out audit findings in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree in Food Technologies, Chemistry Engineering or Biology.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Quality/Manufacturing (including plant and people management) as a Quality Manager; 3‑5 years in Quality/Manufacturing including plant.
- Background in Food & Beverage business is mandatory.
- Advanced English; excellent knowledge of CCHBC/TCCC product and package quality.
- Must know how to implement and improve TCCQS, ISO 9001:2000, FSSC 2000, ISO 14001; good knowledge of all relevant local and EU laws and regulations.
- Quality systems management (ISO, HACCP, TCCC quality system, IMCR) is a plus; Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Advanced quality and food safety knowledge (including microbiology); process validation; project management; innovative mindset; problem solving (RCA) and continuous improvement; statistical process control (SPC); risk management and mitigation; QSE maturity culture step change; understanding of overall SC process and strategy.
