This position aims to ensure the optimal execution of wind tunnel activities, particularly in relation to model preparation and test planning. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liPromote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments. /li liWrite procedures and plan tests in the model shop and wind tunnel. /li liCoordinate and carry out activities related to the preparation of the wind tunnel model, including but not limited to:br/o Ensuring the correct functioning of electronic components,br/o Performing 3D scanning of the model,br/o Assembling and pre‑fitting in accordance with aerodynamic plans,br/o Verifying the proper functioning of pressure taps, etc. /li liActively participate in the definition of modular solutions with the Design office and the aerodynamics team, as well as in their implementation. /li liCreate reports to communicate and evaluate results, sharing relevant information from your area of expertise with other teams. /li liAnalyze wind tunnel test results and take necessary actions to ensure alignment with the quality and repeatability standards defined with your line manager. /li liCreate and maintain accurate documentation related to the components that make up the wind tunnel model. /li liFollow all safety regulations in all venues. /li liOther duties as assigned by the Head of Aerodynamic Engineering or their designee. /li /ul h3Education and Work Experience /h3 ul liA degree in engineering is required, with a specialization in Aerodynamics, Mechanics, or an equivalent qualification. /li liPrevious experience in a wind tunnel environment or in the motorsport sector is considered a plus. /li /ul h3Specialized Knowledge and Skills /h3 ul liStrong communication skills, written and verbal. /li liHave an excellent understanding of English language. /li liStrong technical background in racing car. /li liExperience with CAD software. /li liA solid understanding of aerodynamics and fluid analysis. /li liHave an excellent understanding of aerodynamics and fluid analysis. /li liWork to a consistently high standard in stressful and time‑sensitive situations. /li liQuick decision‑making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way. /li liWork well within a team environment with personnel at all levels. /li liA sympathetic approach to work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment. /li liA can‑do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential. /li /ul h3Equipment and Applications /h3 ul liComputer with Microsoft Office and engineering packages including but not limited to, wind tunnel, basic hand tools, fabrication tools. /li liThorough understanding of and experience with CAD, with expertise in CATIA/3DX. /li liData Acquisition experience is helpful. /li /ul h3Work Environment Physical Demands /h3 pAn ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends. /p h3Physical Demands and Safety /h3 pThis position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast‑paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7‑post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
