Hitachi Energy is seeking candidates to work as a part of the Global Product Group (GPG) Power Transformers. The Global Product Specialist (GPS) will work directly with the Global Product Manager (GPM) for Industrial Specialty (IS) Transformers and collaborate with our worldwide network of RD centers, Hubs and local business teams to capture and translate customer requirements into improvements of existing solutions and set the directions for new product developments. It is an opportunity for transformer engineering and RD experts to apply their knowledge to help customers with demanding applications and be part of joint development of innovative solutions for the changing electrical grid. Additionally, the work will require participation in technical meetings, international standards development, and contributing and developing industry knowledge on power transformer technology. /ppstrongHow You´ll Make An Impact /strong /p ul liAnalyze the market situation by following and understanding international standards, market customer requirements, and their impact on the portfolio. /li liConduct competitor analyses including identification of technical product gaps and with a high focus on competitiveness opportunities while evaluating the portfolio position. /li liManage the technical specifications of Industrial and Specialty Power Transformers and support Global Product Manager in developing business cases for product development, transfer of technology, maintenance, and competitiveness with a high focus on Rail Infrastructure Transformers. /li liCollect and share market technical data to validate performance of products, and you will support new product development by translating market requirements into actionable inputs for the product roadmap. /li liPrepare and present technical communication materials to support product launches and enhance market positioning. /li liKeep engineering, operations, sales, and channels informed on topics related to Industrial and Specialty transformers including market, competition, quality, configurations, and trends. /li liProvide support to data quality improvement, sales, participate in customer meetings and attend trade shows and conferences on request to better identify customer values, pain-points, and needs. /li liEnsure appropriate training material for Industrial and Specialty transformers – with particular focus on Rail Infrastructure Transformers – is available for use both internally and externally. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3ul liMSc or BSc Engineering degree /li liMinimum 5 years of experience in transformer engineering and/or research development, including electrical design experience from working in a factory with production process and cost structure understanding /li liTechnical knowledge of transformer portfolio and knowledge in full or in part of the rail infrastructure transformers /li liProven ability to conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to drive and to follow-up product developments activities. /li liAbility to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. /li liFluent English, experience with writing technical papers and/or reports. /li /ul h3More About Us /h3pWe offer you the opportunity to work with fantastic people and develop yourself on projects that present great technical challenges and have a real impact.
