Project Director - Hybrid Energy Solutions
This is a challenging role requiring a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing complex energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of hybrid solar and BESS projects from conceptualization to completion, working closely with internal engineering and procurement teams to ensure timely and within-budget project execution.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in utility-scale solar and BESS project management, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale projects in Italy. They should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively manage multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the implementation of hybrid solar and BESS projects from conceptualization to completion;
- Collaborate with internal engineering and procurement teams to ensure timely and within-budget project execution;
- Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans;
- Manage and coordinate with external subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution;
- Oversee commissioning activities and manage handover to the O&M; team;
- Ensure compliance with local construction laws, regulations, HSE procedures, and grid codes;
- Maintain accurate records and reports of project progress, issues, and lessons learned;
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and other stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Civil) or equivalent;
- At least 10+ years' experience in relevant project management roles;
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale (10MW+) solar and BESS projects in Italy;
- Deep expertise in local construction laws, regulations, HSE procedures, and grid codes;
- Fluent in Italian and English.
