This position oversees the day-to-day theatre operations and performance, with responsibilities across all roles in the theatre and a focus on leadership, performance management, inventory, scheduling, hiring, and maintaining a safe work environment. /p h3Role Summary /h3 pThe General Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and performance of the theatre. In essence, each General Manager is responsible for every job function in the theatre. They must be able to personally perform and train others in all positions. The General Manager will conduct performance management, in the form of counseling and evaluating individuals and helping them to progress in their careers. In addition, they will oversee inventory, ordering supplies, writing schedules, manpower planning, hiring, and maintaining a safe work environment. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liResponsible for the overall profit and loss of the theatre operation /li liGrows a successful, multi-million-dollar business; drives sales leveraging business acumen, efficiency, and problem-solving skills /li liConducts regular inventory and ordering as necessary /li liTrains and coaches Team Members and management in their specific job functions /li liOrganizes and conducts Team Member meetings and training sessions /li liEnsures that theatre Team Members follow the dress code /li liRuns effective, concise, and inspirational pre-shifts /li liInterviews, hires, and evaluates Team Members and Management Members /li liDevelops promotions in alignment with company goals /li liPrepares administrative and special reports for senior management /li liEnforces cash handling procedures as directed by Cinemark policy /li liFollows Cinemark policies and procedures and enforces them with all Team Members fairly /li liManages employee relations issues /li liAdheres to the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol /li liMaintains high work ethic standards and code of conduct /li liInspects theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof and exterior signage, and equipment condition /li liInitiates repair and maintenance of building, property, and equipment /li liMeets with Guests and vendors to improve service /li liIdentifies and sanitizes high-contact areas /li liAddresses safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) /li liUtilizes Personal Protective Equipment as required /li liAdapts to required cleaning tasks /li liPerforms other work-related duties as assigned /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMust be at least 18 years of age (at least 21 years of age in theatres that serve alcohol) /li liHigh School or G.E.D. graduate preferred /li liMinimum of 3 years previous theatre management experience /li liSenior Assistant Manager or Theatre Manager experience preferred /li liCompletion of Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program, and passing of the Comprehensive Assessment /li liCompletes basic food handling training and obtains local or state mandated certification as required /li liSERV Safe Certification (where required) /li liAvailability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays (Must work at least 40 hours per week) /li liRegular and consistent attendance /li liEnergetic and friendly attitude during each shift /li liProvides excellent Guest service /li liAccurate cash handling and basic math skills /li liStrong communication skills (verbal and written) with all ages and backgrounds; proficient in English /li liAbility to work in a team environment and independently /li liAbility to take and follow direction /li liResponds with a sense of urgency /li liExcellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail /li liAbility to train and lead others /li liAbility to resolve conflict /li /ul h3Physical And Environmental Requirements /h3 ul liFrequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs /li liFrequent standing, walking and reaching around the theatre /li liNoise level may be moderate to high at times /li liBe able to work in a standing position for extended periods /li /ul h3Benefits Available /h3 pAt Cinemark, we believe every team member should feel like a hero.
