Job Description This position is dedicated to leading the logistics activities for Honeywell HBT / HPSS fire business group. Responsibilities include direct supervision of Logistic Operators as direct reports, addressing issues and risk mitigation strategies with an extended supply chain. Drive improvements and productivity for logistics to include establishing KPIs such as inbound/outbound logistics performance, transportation cost, accurate documentation, transportation and safety compliance, on-time delivery, and customer requirements. Primary responsibility will be to lead the HBT Fire Logistics team to deliver on business commitments. Handling all Logistics functions (end to end). Logistics Supervisor will partner with Sourcing, Finance, and Sales to provide a transport strategy that meets the needs of manufacturing and sales (customers) while sustaining growth and productivity in the business. Location: Milano, IT. Type of contract: Temporary, 15 months fixed term contract. Work schedule: full onsite position. Responsibilities Responsible to provide functional leadership and support to develop and improve logistics capability throughout HPSS sites. Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services. Selecting carriers and negotiating contracts and rates. Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries. Supervising logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services. Organizing warehouse, labeling goods, plotting routes, and processing shipments. Directing, optimizing and coordinating full order cycle. Liaising and negotiating with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers. Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. Initiate and drive productivity projects and track/report results. Establish logistics best practice standards and drive through the organization. Develop strong cross business relationships with other Logistics Leaders. Coach, lead team development and succession planning to ensure talent development and growth opportunities for the logistics staff. Develop strong and effective relationships with supplier, transportation providers and key warehouse organizations. Knowledge of all transportation modes: sea, air, road and rail, LCL, FCL, & Special Equipment. Compliance with hazardous shipping regulation under IATA, IMO and DOT. Compliance with export regulation and specific country requirements of each destination. Preparation of international documentation for clearance of goods such as invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, dock receipts. Preparation of international documentation for export such as export declaration, shipper's letter of instruction and inland bill of lading. Selection of carriers based on service level, pricing and timing requirements. Required Skills Excellent coordination and communication skills. Able to respond timely and make decisions in circumstances of uncertainty. Qualifications 3-5 years' work experience in logistics (Import/Export and domestic transport). 2-3 years' work experience managing team. High proficiency in standard logistics and inventory management software; SAP knowledge and experience is preferred, other suites can be considered, TMS is a major advantage. Power user in Excel and Microsoft Office suite. Language skills: Italian, fluent English mandatory (interactions with the global team).
