We provide customers with secure, connected, and protected space systems. Role EMC System Engineer at Thales Alenia Space Main Tasks
Analyze the applicable EMC requirements at the system level, deriving lower level requirements (unit and sub‑system). Define the EMC activities to be applied to the project to ensure compliance with the applicable requirements. Analyze and evaluate the adequacy of the proposed design with respect to the project’s EMC environment, both at unit and system level. Define, track and evaluate the results of unit and system level testing campaigns. Follow a "bottom‑up" philosophy, using SW EMC tools (e.g., CST, FEKO) to assess compliance of a space system with applicable EMC requirements. Attend technical meetings with partner companies and international clients.
Educational Qualification
Degree in electronic engineering or equivalent.
Experience
Experience in the EMC field, both at the design and testing level. Knowledge of EMC MIL / ECSS regulations is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of Matlab / Simulink, Mathcad, CST and / or FEKO, or similar tools for 2D and 3D EMC / RF analysis. Scientific training (mandatory). Good ability to learn new calculation tools.
Foreign Languages
Excellent written and oral English. Knowledge of French is preferred.
Other Requirements
Wide willingness to travel, including medium / long‑term trips in Italy and abroad (mandatory).
