As a Senior Finance Analyst in EMEA Data Center Finance you will support AWS’s rapidly growing cloud data‑center business. You will provide end‑to‑end financial support, build and maintain financial models, and partner with cross‑functional teams to make data‑driven decisions that drive cash flow and customer delight.
Key job responsibilities
* Partner with the AWS Data Center Supply Solutions (DCSS) Business Development and Real Estate teams to provide strategic guidance on investment alternatives and deal negotiations for regional expansions.
* Perform discounted cash flow and P&L financial modeling, often under tight deadlines, and lead executive‑level discussions. Ensure internal stakeholders (e.g. Real estate, New and Existing Region Portfolio Management, Product teams, Networking, Data Center Engineering, Accounting, Legal, Tax, etc.) are aligned with recommendations.
* Help prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and roadblocks to closing new deals.
* Provide controllership and oversight of business case data integrity and approvals.
* Understand infrastructure market segments, customer base, and industry verticals and technology trends. Help set business development plans for target markets and ensure execution is aligned with approved expansion strategies.
* Develop business and technology acumen to understand and account for technology transitions and business evolution in financial models.
* Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
* Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis, or solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements or customer benefits).
* Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses or building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
* Experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions.
* Experience designing and implementing controls or performing audits over the financial reporting environment.
* Experience in commercial finance business partnering or FP&A at a multinational organization.
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA or CPA.
* Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, ORACLE, Coupa) in large organizations.
* Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
