The Role
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for developing and supervising supplier quality, especially for hydraulic components and turning processes. This role involves ensuring that components and processes meet Tecnord's stringent technical and quality standards, working closely with various departments to improve and develop supplier activities and performance.
Your Responsibilities
After an initial onboarding, you will be in charge of:
* Supplier and Process Selection: actively participate in selecting the most suitable suppliers and processes in collaboration with the Procurement and Technical departments;
* Supplier Evaluation: assess new suppliers through site visits and standard evaluations to ensure they meet Tecnord’s quality requirements;
* APQP and Program Review Coordination: coordinate Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Program;
* Review activities; oversee the initiation of new production lines at supplier facilities;
* PPAP Audits: conduct Level 4 Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) audits to approve supplier production processes;
* PCPA Audits: perform periodic Production Control Process Audits (PCPA) to maintain quality standards;
* Process control Strategies: suggest and implement strategies for controlling supplier processes aimed at continuous improvement, quality protection, and prevention;
* Supplier Performance Monitoring: monitor supplier performance through periodic analysis of non-conforming parts (PPM);
* Emergency Management: manage production emergencies related to supplier non-conformities and new production startups or product improvements;
* Supplier Development: suggest and actively participate in strategies for supplier development and improvement;
* Non-Conformity Analysis: participate in analysing and verifying non-conformities in Tecnord production that may be attributable to suppliers;
Your Skills
This is a great opportunity if you have:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering;
* A 4-5 years of experience in a similar role;
* Good command of Quality tools: 8D, P-FMEA, PPAP, APQP, PCPA;
* Proven experience in Project Management;
* Familiarity problem-solving methodologies;
* Good command of English - B2 level;
* Methodical approach, strong relational and communication skills, and a strong team-oriented attitude.
It is considered a preferral skills having knowledge of industrial hydraulic systems and turning processes.
