We are currently seeking a Project Buyer on behalf of a multinational company operating in the engineering, manufacturing, and services sector.
The Project Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers to meet project and production needs in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. The role supports project execution and operations, ensuring materials are available on time and procurement activities are fully aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage a qualified and competitive supplier base for assigned commodities.
* Handle end‐to‐end purchasing: RFQs, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase orders, and follow‐up.
* Ensure on‐time material availability according to production and project schedules.
* Negotiate prices, lead times, contracts, and supply agreements, including technically complex items.
* Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective and improvement actions.
* Lead cost‐reduction and value‐engineering initiatives with Engineering, Production, and Project Management.
* Support cost estimation, budgeting, and material planning for projects.
* Use ERP systems (e.G. D365) accurately and maintain data quality.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or similar.
* At least 5 years' experience as Buyer / Project Buyer
* Strong negotiation and vendor management skills; solid understanding of purchasing contracts and legal terms.
* English (Proficient User)
