The Operational Risk Monitoring Manager is responsible for overseeing the identification, assessment, and ongoing monitoring of operational risks across the organization. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the company’s risk governance structure by ensuring effective implementation of key risk indicators and risk reporting frameworks. The manager will lead a team and collaborate cross-fuctionally with business lines, compliance, audit, and senior leadership.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the design and execution of operations risk monitoring strategies, frameworks and tools overseeing operational risk event, root cause analysis and loss reporting processess
* Develop and maintain a robust KRI and metrics program to proactively identify and mitigate risk
* Oversee all issues already live, work hard to close them before the due date and prevent opening of the new ones
* Drive regular risk assessment internally and ensure timely remediation of control gaps
* Produce and present executive-level risk reports, dashboards and trend analysis
* Guide and mentor team members, manage performance and development planning
Educational requirements
* Highschool degree / Bachelor's degree
Professional experience
* Economic degree (preferred)
* Experience in Finance field (preferred)
* Operational Risk Management
* Draft risk reports and managing control systems
* Ability to work with data analytics tool and advanced excel
Analytical and Soft skills
* Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to guide a team and work in a team
* Attention to detail and regulatory compliance
