Job Description:Flight Dynamics EngineerJob DescriptionThe candidate will be employed in the Telespazio Flight Dynamics department located in the Fucino Space Centre (Italy) and will take part in both Mission Preparation and Mission Execution, taking care of:Provision of Mission Analysis support for Flight Dynamics requirements specification, design, development and verification phasesProvision of Flight Dynamics support to the Operations Concept definition and Operations PreparationProvision of Flight Dynamics support to the Definition, Preparation and Execution of Launch & Early Orbit Phase (LEOP)Provision of Flight Dynamics support to the Definition, Preparation and Execution of routine Phases from Commissioning to Grave YardingSupport to, and implementation of, anomaly resolution and investigationImplementation of the necessary System Evolutions in terms of Operational Procedures, System Configurations and Development.The candidate must be available to work at unusual hours for limited periods during non-routine operations (i.e. Launch and Early Orbit Phases, Grave Yarding) or during contingencies.Responsibilities/ Duties /TasksRequirement definition & analysisMission Analysis definition and implementationFlight Dynamics System design, development, testing and maintenanceFlight Dynamics Procedures preparationFlight Dynamics Operation executionQualification:University degree in aerospace engineering or other relevant disciplineMandatory Skills & Experience:Proven solid knowledge in the Space Flight Mechanics domain, covering both orbit and attitude dynamics (at least five years)Familiarity with software libraries and tools specific for Flight Dynamics & Mission Analysis (i.e. OreKit)Familiarity with Linux systems and programming languages with focus on mathematical applications (i.e. Java, C++)Strengths in analysis, synthesis and presentation, coupled with very good interpersonal skills and a proven ability to apply these to the interactions within a team and between teams.Availability to work abroad for a limited periodAdditional Skills & Experience:Knowledge of system engineering standards and methodologies in aspects relevant to space operational systems;Professional experience in operations and maintenance of Space Flight Dynamics systemsKnowledge in low thrust Electric Propulsion peculiarities applied to both Transfer Orbits and Station KeepingKnowledge in Collision Avoidance fieldforeign study or work experiences are considered an advantageSeniority:Expert
