MOTOR INSURANCE - SENIOR DATA ENGINEER
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Street Pricing Motor Unit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable data processing and integration
* Data preparation and maintenance development
* Support the development and updating of unit reports
* Design, deploy and monitor Machine Learning models for Motor pricing
* Ensure that machine learning models adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, implementing necessary checks and documentation
* Collaborate with other Business Units to define technical specifications and requirements for data solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and objectives
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KEY SKILLS
* Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
* Previous experience of 3-5 years as Data Engineer/Scientist or similar role in Insurance field, familiarity with Motor business would be an advantage
* Strong experience with Machine Learning models development in Python (scikit-learn, Optuna, XGBoost, LightGBM, etc)
* Strong experience with SQL and PySpark for Big Data processing
* Proficiency in MLOps tools and practices
* Experience with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure or similar)
* Experience with orchestration tools (Apache Airflow or similar)
* Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar)
* Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics would be a strong plus
* Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel and Power Point
* Proactive and innovative attitude in constantly improving tools and approaches to be market leading
* Great curiosity in order to create an overall vision
* Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
