Leverage your expertise in market dynamics, policies, grid compliance, and financial modeling to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and ensure ROI. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze electricity market structures, trading, pricing mechanisms, ancillary service demands, grid reserve services, and price trends; Understand the impact of regulatory requirements and applications (trading, balancing mechanism, ancillary services, grid reserve services) on project business cases; Identify, screen, and evaluate energy storage project opportunities (greenfield, brownfield, co-location) in pre-RTB or RTB stages; Develop compelling propositions and competitive bids; Support day-to-day business case development activities of projects until deal closure; Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, grid operators, landowners, and consultants. Lead due diligence processes; Develop, review, and optimize financial models (LCOE, NPV, IRR) for projects, including sensitivity analysis and risk assessment with the support of supply chain, finance, and technical teams; Establish investment/financing partnerships with banks, funds, infrastructure investors, energy firms, and power traders; Support the corporate finance team in raising debt for a portfolio of projects; Prepare high-quality internal Invest Committee papers; Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between project teams and internal departments; Develop sales and marketing materials, speak at, and attend conferences as appropriate; Develop strategic partnerships to support scaling of the business. Requirements: Minimum 8 years in commercial/business development in the energy sector (B2B), preferably in energy storage or renewable sectors. Strong commercial skills with legal contracts and project financing experience. Strong organizational skills, team-oriented, with good attention to detail. Experience in energy storage and renewable sectors. Knowledge of the UK, Europe, Australia, and Asia-Pacific energy landscapes. Desire to work in a fast-moving, high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment. 2. Skills: Mastery of financial modeling and investment analysis (ability to build complex project models). Proven track record in energy storage project development, M&A, or asset rotation. Advanced Excel skills. Advantage: Python skills. 3.
