Within the P&C & Reinsurance Office function, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the Climate Technical Excellence Unit. We are looking for a professional to support the definition of technical approaches, methodologies, and tools across the main steps of the insurance value chain related to Natural Catastrophe (NatCat) and climate risks. The analyst will contribute to the development and implementation of methodologies and Group-wide tools for pricing, risk accumulation monitoring, loss prevention, and claims management.
The job holder can be based both in Milan or Trieste.
Key responsibilities
* Supporting the definition, enhancement, and maintenance of NatCat technical methodologies (pricing, accumulation, prevention, claims management).
* Contributing to the design, development, and testing of Group tools to support Business Units (pricing models, risk accumulation tools, risk diagnostic platforms, monitoring dashboards).
* Supporting knowledge‑sharing activities and the dissemination of methodologies and tools across Business Units.
* Preparing quantitative analyses, reports, and technical summaries to be shared with senior experts within the Climate Hub and relevant stakeholders.
* Engaging with external partners and solution providers to complement the developed approaches and tools.
Requirements
* 1–3 years of experience in quantitative/analytical roles within insurance or reinsurance (e.g., pricing, risk analysis, data analysis, engineering, loss prevention).
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a good understanding of NatCat risk drivers and interest in developing technical methodologies.
* Ability to prepare, analyze, and synthesize data, including complex datasets.
* Proven ability to engage with clients and stakeholders on technical topics.
* Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn quickly.
* Attention to detail and motivation to work on climate‑related topic.
