GCP Cloud Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced GCP Cloud Engineer (8+ years) with a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing large‑scale cloud environments. The ideal candidate has executed multiple large migration programs, possesses deep knowledge of Google Cloud products, and works comfortably within modern DevSecOps ecosystems. This role requires strong expertise in cloud architecture, HA/DR, load balancing, and Google‑native solutions to ensure secure, scalable, and resilient cloud deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end‑to‑end migration programs to Google Cloud Platform.
- Design scalable cloud architectures across compute, storage, networking, IAM, and security.
- Develop HA and DR architectures ensuring business continuity.
- Architect and manage load balancing solutions using Cloud Load Balancer, Traffic Director, and Cloud CDN.
- Work extensively with GCP services such as GCE, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, VPC, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Monitoring, and Logging.
- Collaborate with application teams to design cloud-ready and cloud‑native architectures.
- Implement CI/CD, IaC, and security automation within DevSecOps pipelines.
- Use Terraform, Deployment Manager, Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions for automated deployments.
- Ensure compliance with IAM, security baselines, governance frameworks, and cost optimization.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of cloud engineering experience with strong GCP expertise.
- Proven experience delivering large‑scale migration programs.
- Deep understanding of GCP networking, compute, storage, and security.
- Strong knowledge of application architecture patterns including microservices and serverless.
- Expertise in HA, DR, multi‑region deployments, and resilience engineering.
- Hands‑on experience with load balancing architectures.
- Strong DevSecOps knowledge including CI/CD, IaC, and security automation.
- Experience with GKE, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Strong troubleshooting and optimization experience.
- Preferred certifications: GCP Professional Cloud Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Engineer.
