IoT Software Engineer
You will join the development and operations teams, working closely with R&D; colleagues on one side, and customers on the other side, to create, configure, deploy, and maintain our IoT cloud and on-premises software applications.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of software team coding, testing, and maintaining software applications to be used in industrial plants, focusing mainly on the back-end but with the possibility to follow the full stack.
- Follow remotely the beta versions at customer side, identifying, reporting and fixing issues, collaborating with operations team.
- Design and improve new functionalities in the area of industrial process control algorithms, using state-of-the-art frameworks and paradigms like microservices and SOLID in OOP.
- Contribute to the creation of the software data connectors and transformers needed to communicate with 3rd party sensors using real-time data pipelines.
- Develop PLC SW
- Develop HMI SW
- Install SW and ramp up automation application in field.
Required Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Information/Electronics Engineering or related disciplines (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).
- Proven working experience of 3 years in IT software development inside a company, working in team.
- Expertise on Python and C/C++ programming languages.
- Proven expertise in Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns and SOLID principles.
- Expertise on JSON, XML, CSV, binary file formats and how to handle it.
- Knowledge of distributed configuration and versioning management frameworks (Git).
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Capability to work both in Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, Codesys
- Oral and written skill of English language.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Initiative and proactivity characterized by an innovative approach.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Availability for frequent business trips worldwide (up to 120 days).
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the industrial automation field.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of other languages as Rust, Scala, Go, Swift, Java, C#.
- Some experience with data streaming or message queuing systems such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
The position is also open to 2 recent graduated in Computer Science, Information/Electronics Engineering with an interest in software development in automation and inclined to the use of new technologies and AI.
Workplace: Cuneo (CN) + 4 days a month of smart working.
Range RAL: 30-45K based on experience.
