We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled CUSTOMS SPECIALIST to join our Customs team in Gorizia, to manage all activities related to customs clearance and ensure compliance with national and international customs regulations.
The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting import/export operations, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and compliant flow of goods, working closely with freight forwarders, customs authorities, and internal departments.
Main Responsibilities:
* Operational management of import and export customs procedures;
* Verification of commercial and customs documentation (invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.);
* Customs classification of goods according to current regulations;
* Monitoring of duties, tariffs, and constantly evolving regulations;
* Interface with freight forwarders, customs authorities, agencies, and clients to resolve any customs-related issues;
* Ensuring compliance with EU and international regulations;
* Collaboration with the legal and logistics teams in managing audits or inspections by the authorities;
* Support in the definition and optimization of internal customs processes.
We are looking for:
* Diploma or degree in Economics, Law, or Logistics-related fields;
* Minimum 2–3 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within industrial contexts or freight forwarding/customs brokerage companies;
* In-depth knowledge of Italian and EU customs regulations and import/export procedures;
* Familiarity with main customs platforms;
* Excellent analytical and organizational skills;
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team;
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work towards goals and deadlines;
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
