H3Rail Network Planner /h3pstrongPurpose of the job /strong /ppThe Rail Network Planner plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient rail operations. /ppThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing, scheduling, and optimizing PLT rail utilization considering factors such as capacity, demand, rail time slots, Service Level Agreement (When relevant) and safety regulations. /ppHe/She will be the focal point between rail stakeholders (Train Operators, customers …) and internal PLT (Planning Execution, commercial) bodies. The RNP will ensure communication flow related to rail schedule activities is consistent and robust; all trains physical operations are documented, KPI maintained, pre-billing timely transferred to accountant department. /ppFinally, the candidate will have an excellent understanding of rail operations, strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills and a sharp attention to detail. /ppstrongSummary of responsibilities: /strong /pulliConsolidate information from train operators, landside / quayside customers regarding train schedules, volume to be discharge / load on planning side and all occurred events “statement of facts” during execution of operations /liliCoordinate with rail operators and stakeholders to ensure efficient use of the PLT rail inner and outer tracks /liliDevelop and maintain rail network diagrams, schedules, and related documentation /liliMonitor and analyze rail network performance and identify areas for improvement /liliKeep the Shift Leader informed about any problems that could affect the train arrival / departures, ensuring corrective action that can be taken within timescales /liliDiscuss with Operations Manager and organize the daily train game plan /liliWork closely with the operations team to ensure efficient execution of rail schedules. /liliTrack and monitor all data / volumes related to Train operations and issue KPIs as required /li /ulpstrongEducation Experience: /strong /pulliBachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field /lili3-5 years of experience in rail operations /li /ulpstrongTechnical Skills Knowledge Required: /strong /pulliProven experience as a Rail Network Planner or similar role /liliStrong knowledge of rail operations and regulations /liliExcellent problem-solving and analytical abilities /liliStrong communication and negotiation skills /liliProficiency in relevant software such as GIS and scheduling tools /liliAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment /li /ulpstrongBehavioral Competences Required: /strong /pulliAnalytical skills /liliProactiveness /li /ulpstrongLanguage Requirements: /strong /pulliFluent spoken and written Italian is a must. /liliFluent spoken and written English is a must /li /ulpThis job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer. /ppHHLA-PLT is an equal opportunity employer.
