A Day in the Life:At our Finance department in Medtronic, we focus on providing timely, relevant and accurate information to help strategically drive the business forward. We work to ensure our corporate reporting, compliance and statutory requirements are achieved and our fiduciary responsibilities are met. In the Associate Accountant role, you will be you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks and supporting financial operations. We offer a permanent contract with hybrid working model. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: - Assists in the compilation of financial information, preparing reports, and recording transactions. - Assists in a wide variety of areas such as Accounts Payable and Bank - Supports the finance team on month end close activity, including journal entries and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations - Supports the finance team with adherence to accounting and auditing policies, procedures and internal controls - Assists in gathering information for finance deliverables, such as internal and external audit requests and government surveys - Coordinates and liaises with operations to support completion manufacturing cycle counts & adherence to inventory controls Required Knowledge and Experience: - 4 years of previous accounting experience including knowledge of Italian gaap - Good IT skills - particularly Excel and PowerPoint. - Strong communication skills - ability to work as part of an international team and with a wide number of stakeholders. - Ability to work on own initiative & identify improvements in how we do work. A Minimum of first level degree in Finance or relevant discipline is desired. Previous BPCS (Basic Process Control Systems) experience is also desirable.
