Your role
We are looking for an Internship in R&D polymer processing who will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment within the R&D Research team, supporting the development and evaluation of new materials and processes including micro‑injection.
The role will involve processing and testing innovative injection moulding materials and studying their behavior to optimise the process. You will gain hands‑on experience in polymer processing, thermal and mechanical characterisation, and experimental data analysis.
You will contribute to laboratory and experimental activities including micro‑injection moulding trials, thermal characterisation of polymers, and evaluation of replication quality of micro‑structured components. The position requires a basic understanding of polymer science, materials characterisation techniques, and an interest in advanced manufacturing processes.
Main responsibilities
* Support the evaluation and processing of new polymer materials for injection moulding
* Prepare and produce samples through micro‑injection moulding
* Perform material characterisation tests using laboratory techniques such as DMA, DSC, and TGA
* Collect and analyse experimental data related to material performance and replication quality
* Contribute to the evaluation of the replication degree of micro‑structured surfaces
* Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation
* Collaborate with team members in experimental activities and data interpretation
* Ensure proper use of laboratory equipment and follow established safety and quality procedures
Main Requirements
* Educational background: Master’s degree in Engineering (Materials engineering, mechanical engineering or polymer engineering preferred)
* Basic knowledge and understanding of polymer science and polymer processing
* Laboratory experience with polymers (thermo‑mechanical characterisation). Master thesis in laboratory or industrial environment in related fields.
* Critical thinking
* Desire to learn and explore many different topics and equipment out of the comfort zone
* MS Office Suite
What’s in it for you
* A fast‑paced environment, where you will start giving your mark from day 0
