Nature and Scope of Position The HR department operates across Tuscany – Florence, Pistoia and Arezzo Municipality. Many of the employees are based in the field (Factories) and communication is key to maintaining a healthy working relationship. The department is currently structured as follows: HR Director Supply Chain (reports to the SVP SC), 1 HR Director Supply Chain Factories, 1 HR Advisor (working across both factories) and 1 SC HR Admin (based in Sicla) – these last two roles report to the HR Director Supply Chain Factories; 1 HR Advisor based in the JCF Office and managing also JCS‑Switzerland. This role of HR Director Supply Chain plays a key part in building on the success of the HR team. Whilst communicating across many levels of the organisation the HR Director Supply Chain SC will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate processes are kept in place to manage the smooth running of the HR team’s responsibilities. Responsibilities Support and advise managers on recruitment, induction, attendance, retention, employee relations and employment of appropriately skilled and expert staff to meet business needs. Support and manage with SVP Supply Chain/VP Shoe Division the continuous integration process of both factories. Have experience in recruitment and resource planning, particularly Supply Chain Technicians. Assist SVP Supply Chain / SVP HR Global with further development of HR systems, procedures, policies and Trade Union management. Work with the HR team and undertake a variety of HR projects as required including research, proposals, negotiation, implementation and monitoring of initiatives. Work with the Finance team and undertake the implementation of new reports and monitoring forecasts and budgets. Maintain current processes and practices up to date. Develop and deliver training sessions to Line Managers and key employees on HR policies. Contribute towards effective employee reward management. Offer an internal consultancy service to the business, diagnosing issues, identifying needs and providing creative solutions in line with business objectives. Assist the Leadership Team to influence managers to ensure that HR processes are embedded across the business, with a focus on the new factory purchased. Build and maintain excellent working relationships with business partners (Factory General Directors and line Managers) and networking contacts to support business needs. Provide expertise and guidance to Supply Chain management on all ER issues across Italy in coordination with the SC HSE Manager. Provide reliable and trusted employment law advice; liaise with local Employment Lawyers, where appropriate and within budget. Identify and assess HR issues that need to be brought to the attention of the rest of the HR team and act upon them as necessary. Provide advice on immigration and visa queries if required. Manage effective relationships with payroll providers as required. Qualifications and Education Graduate calibre. English speaking is mandatory. Experience Required HR experience within a Supply Chain and Manufacturing environment, including experience on redundancies/downsizing (preferred). Some payroll experience would be an advantage. Involvement in the appraisal process and pay reviews. Demonstrable experience of producing ad‑hoc reports. Recruitment experience. Employee relations experience, including assisting on disciplinary and grievance issues. Particular Skills/Knowledge Required Highly competent user of MS Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi‑task and prioritise. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to incorporate regular mundane tasks into day‑to‑day workload. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, oral and written. Understanding of Italian and Swiss HR employment law and best practice. Strong commercial awareness. Confident team player.
