**Litigation Specialist**:
**WE OFFER **:American Modern Insurance Group is recruiting for a Litigation Specialist If you like to think outside the box on claims, feel comfortable asking the hard questions and enjoy working with Attorneys across the country to manage and resolve complex litigated claims, then we want to talk to you
- As a Litigation Specialist, you will be responsible for the management and resolution of litigated first and third party claims for a variety of products. This position determines coverage, liability, and damages; and works with legal counsel to ensure a proper disposition of litigated matters.**What you will do**:
- Maintain a pending of personal and/or commercial lines, complex, litigated files
- Strictly adhere to litigation and reporting guidelines
- Utilize approved counsel, establish and maintain control of litigation spending as appropriate for each individual case
- Accurately manage reserves and budgets in a timely manner
- This position will be responsible for the management of counsel to ensure reporting requirements are met per established defense counsel guidelines
- Develop and execute appropriate defense and coverage defense strategies and serve as a resource for the division, department and company
- Manage risk and ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
**WE EXPECT **:This position may be a good fit, if you have:
- 5 or more years of multi-line claims handling experience
- 3 or more years of litigation handling experience preferred
- Experience with personal lines products, including auto and recreational products, multi-state, first and third party exposures
- Commercial lines experience is a plus.
- Well rounded experience with complex claims with multiple facets, a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Word and excel experience, as well the ability to quickly learn systems that support the claims function
- Detailed oriented, exceptional organizational skills, driven for results, high level of business acumen and self-motivated
