Everyone at Prysmian has the potential to make their mark; because whatever you do, wherever you are based, you will be part of a company that is helping transform the world around us. /p h3Your contribution to Prysmian's Success: /h3 pWe are looking for an bItaly RD Cable Design Engineer /b to join our team based in Merlino (LO) and will be part of the RD team supporting Italian-based factories. /p h3In this role you will: /h3 ul liProvide all technical support to Sales department to enable an adequate offer to all customer enquiries. /li liEnsure correct definition of product costing, considering designs, bill of materials and routing. /li liFully understand the applications and customer needs. /li liCooperate with Product Development and Material teams to develop new products in line with company strategies. /li liRepresent the Company in National technical committees, actively contributing to the product standards evolution. /li liUse specific software (Common Analysis or SAP). /li liDesign electrical cables in each detail, type of materials and performances according to the customer request and applicable technical standards. /li liGenerate the related Bill of Material and manufacturing Routing of the cables. /li liMake and update Cost Lists for stock items to be used by Sales department. /li liMake and update Project rules of different cable families. /li liTake in charge Customer Offers by reading the technical specifications, giving the correct selection of cables and creating a full technical data pack (datasheet, technical bid evaluation sheets, deviations) for Sales Dept. /li liCollaborate with Product development team (e.g. create prototypes designs). /li liEvaluate and support manufacturing product transfer from one plant to another. /li liSupport commercial and quality department in technical bid evaluation phases. /li liInterface with factory to implement their specific needs/changes in process. /li liMake base electrical calculations related to the main characteristics of the cables (e.g. ampacity, capacitance). /li liVisit customers to understand application and market needs, giving support to Sales dept. /li /ul h3You are the right fit if you have/are: /h3 ul liPreferably master’s degree in Electrical, Electrotechnical or Electronic Engineering. /li liPrevious experience (1‑2 years) in industrial business, with preferred experience as electrical design, process engineer, production engineer, continuous improvement or product development. /li liStructured, solid, and trustable person, with abilities of being analytical as well as synthetical, methodical and conscious planner.
