Building relationships with public sector donors is crucial for supporting projects that impact millions globally. Fundraising for social protection from development partners requires a targeted, cross-departmental strategy and specific expertise in social protection financing. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ol liImplement a government donor engagement work plan on social protection, identifying and strengthening partnerships aligned with WFP’s strategic goals. /li liPosition WFP’s value proposition in social protection with partners, develop tailored engagement materials, and support policy dialogue in relevant fora. /li liGuide units and field offices on partnership strategies, proposal writing, and best practices; update programming portfolios and funding needs. /li liMaintain donor intelligence on social protection and promote key information systems. /li liCoordinate the Social Protection Trust Fund, ensuring donor relations and reporting are managed effectively. /li liManage the social protection partnerships portfolio, including partner profiling and outreach plans to expand collaboration. /li liSupport corporate dialogue, highlight strategic opportunities, and prepare briefs and recommendations for senior management. /li liAssist in designing partnership proposals, negotiations, and agreements, ensuring partner visibility and compliance. /li liSupport WFP’s positioning with governments and international institutions in countries where WFP operates, based on socio-political insights. /li liPerform other duties as required. /li /ol h3Qualifications and Experience /h3 pbEducation: /b Advanced degree in International Development, Economics, International Relations, Social Protection, or related fields. /p puExperience: /u At least eight years in partnership roles, with expertise in social protection policy, financing, and programming. /p h3Skills and Knowledge /h3 ul liExperience in developing multi-stakeholder partnerships and advocacy events. /li liProven ability to build long-term relationships and expand engagement across sectors and regions. /li liResource mobilization, negotiation, and strategic planning skills. /li liData-driven decision-making and external messaging capabilities. /li liExperience with system improvements and partner intelligence platforms. /li /ul h3Languages /h3 pFluent in English (Level C); knowledge of Spanish, French, or Arabic is an asset. /p h3Terms and Conditions /h3 pWFP offers a competitive package based on contract type and qualifications.
