This role focuses on developing, coordinating, and implementing local retail, captive leasing and any other finance solutions in close cooperation with local internal teams and external partners (banks, leasing companies, and dealers, etc.). The position requires strong financial acumen, experience in auto finance/leasing, and excellent stakeholder management skills to support BYD’s business growth in the local market. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Auto Finance / Captive Lease /h3 ul liWork with local finance, sales, aftersales and legal teams to develop and roll out finance programs. /li liDesign and manage retail and business finance products (leasing, loans, balloon, etc.) to support BYD’s sales targets. /li liPartner with banks and leasing companies to optimise offers, pricing and customer experience. /li liTrack portfolio performance (penetration, margin, risk) and report insights to management. /li /ul h3Wholesale Dealer Financing /h3 ul liEstablish and manage relationships with local banks, lenders, and other financial partners to secure competitive funding lines. /li liNegotiate wholesale credit facilities to support BYD’s dealer network development and expansion in the country. /li liOptimise floorplan (inventory) financing structures to align dealer stock levels with local market demand. /li liConduct financial health assessments for franchise/dealer partners and provide risk-based recommendations. /li /ul h3Strategy, Market Intelligence Compliance /h3 ul liMonitor and assess local market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments in auto finance and leasing to support strategic decision-making. /li liEnsure regulatory and internal policy compliance across all local financing and leasing activities. /li liCoordinate with BYD Group finance and legal teams on cross-border and group-level financing agreements that impact the local market. /li liPrepare and present strategic reports, business cases, and improvement suggestions to senior management. /li /ul h3Stakeholder Management Training /h3 ul liAct as a liaison between BYD Europe HQ and the local country teams, ensuring consistent implementation of leasing and finance policies, products, and frameworks. /li liDeliver training to local sales and dealer staff on finance/leasing product features, processes, and digital sales tools. /li liTravel within the country (and occasionally to other BYD locations) to meet with leasing partners, banks, dealers, and internal stakeholders. /li liUndertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Finance Controller or senior management. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields. /li liMinimum 5 years’ experience in auto finance, preferably within captive finance, leasing companies or banks. /li liStrong analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving skills, with experience in financial analysis and portfolio monitoring. /li liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders. /li liProficiency in English is required; additional European languages (e.g. French, German, Dutch) are an advantage. /li liStrong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in auto finance/leasing in the local market. /li liAbility to work independently in a fast‑paced, international environment, and to manage multiple projects. /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 ul liCompetitive compensation based on experience and performance. /li liHealth insurance (Metasalute) and meal vouchers. /li liCompany‑wide and department teambuilding events. /li liThe opportunity to contribute to Europe’s transition to zero‑emission transportation and the decarbonization of the economy. /li /ul h3Our Purpose /h3 pWe are building a zero‑emission future that reconnects humanity with nature and a world of clean air.
