Job Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing the culinary operations of a high-end establishment, ensuring that all food production meets exceptional standards.
Main Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Direct and supervise a team of cooks, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
* Culinary Expertise: Demonstrate extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles to maintain the highest quality of dishes.
* Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients, nutritional value, and customer preferences.
* Cost Control and Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food costs, inventory levels, and supplies, ensuring optimal usage and minimizing waste.
* Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, as well as company standards.
* Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with suppliers, chefs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and effective collaboration.
About You
We seek a highly skilled and experienced chef de partie who shares our passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
* 8+ years of experience in upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service
* A minimum of 2 years as Chef de Partie
* Culinary school degree
* Strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills
* Superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills
