We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations at the brand-new Hampton by Hilton Venice Isola Nuova. In this crucial role, you will lead our team in managing budgets, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring compliance, all while contributing to the overall success of the hotel. Your expertise will be essential in enhancing profitability, streamlining processes, and driving strategic financial initiatives that elevate guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
* Key responsibilities
* Organize, manage and control Finance department’s daily work
* Analyze hotel’s economical activities
* Implement hotel’s finance management strategies
* Ensure compliance with the local tax and financial accounting requirements
* Ensure proper functioning of the bookkeeping of the hotel (controls over functioning of the system, training of employees, sets up objectives for development of the system)
* Provide the managers of responsible units with information required for budgeting
* Manage employees of the Finance Department (selection, training, determining the duties, appraisal, etc.)
* Implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by law corporate policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices
* Verify the truth of the entries made in accounting registers as well as compliance of the classification with the requirements of the management accounting, financial accounting and tax legislation
* Draft internal financial and management statements of the hotel
* Control everyday financial reports
* Perform operational planning of the funds of the hotel
* Plan and control payments of the hotel
* Control cash circulation inside the hotel
* Confirm bank transfers
* Participate in internal stocktaking at the hotel and other control procedures, if so, ordered by the General Manager of the hotel
* Represent the hotel within the framework of own competence, accountability and responsibility
* Maintain professional, proactive and technical competence in own field
* Conduct all duties according to Hampton by Hilton and Apex Alliance guidelines
* Perform related duties and special projects as assigned and required.
* Requirements
* Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
* Strong understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with hotel management systems is an advantage
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the hospitality sector
* Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for financial improvement
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Fluency in English
* Education : higher in the field of finance, accounting or economics.
