The selected candidate will assist the Direction of Systems for Mobility – design function for electrical plant, mainly focusing on design, technical verification of projects and factory or field testing in the following specialized areas applied to urban transport systems (metros, light rails, trams) and railways:
* power supply and traction electric systems (MT/BT cabins, traction substation, contact line, etc.)
* electric and special plants (FM, lighting, grounding, smoke detection, intrusion / access control, etc.)
The selected candidate will handle technical aspects related to the elaboration and development of infrastructure projects, specifically for the plant engineering within the described sectors. Exemplar tasks include:
* drafting documentation, such as general reports, specifications, and estimated metric calculations
* producing graphic design documents for the project
* developing estimated metric calculations through project stages, including market investigation for price analysis when official price lists are lacking
* interfacing with other designers, internally and externally, and with other company functions to ensure correct coordination of project development for their area of competence
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; a focus in transportation electrical systems is a preferential qualification. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may also be considered if they have adequate professional experience.
Professional Experience: Preferential prior experience, preferably in Engineering or Design firms, with analogous activities, especially in:
* design and implementation of traction electric systems: medium voltage distribution, MT/BT cabins, traction conversion substations, aerial contact or third rail lines, and rolling vehicles (electric part)
* design of electric plants (FM, lighting, grounding, etc.) and special plants (smoke detection, intrusion / access control), ticketing/charging plants
* mechanical/structural design of aerial or third rail contact line
Strong knowledge of sector regulations regarding the listed plants is also positively assessed.
IT Skills: Excellent knowledge of Office (especially Excel) and AutoCAD. Preferential experience with traction electrical network simulation models. Positive assessment of experience with:
* electric and lighting design software, and especially structural calculation for mechanical support design of traction electric systems
* BIM modeling with software such as REVIT and CIVIL 3D, applied to the above plants and/or electric plants
Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with excellent reading of technical texts and good writing and oral expression. Knowledge of additional languages is also valued.
Key Competencies: Interpersonal rapport, teamwork ability, dynamism, autonomy, initiative and resilience.
Other: Willingness to travel, including abroad.
The contract type, classification, and remuneration will be defined in accordance with current labor regulations and the selected candidate’s professional characteristics.
