As an IV&V System Engineer, you will be responsible for system validation, test planning, and technical documentation in support of critical engineering activities. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact space applications while working in a dynamic, international environment. Your Tasks Define verification planning and establish test pass criteria Write and review operational and functional procedures Perform test evaluation and result analysis Provide software support to engineering teams Interface with all subsystems during AIV phases Support operational and pre-operational phases Author and maintain technical documentation Your Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need: 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field Strong understanding of System Engineering and Ground Segment subsystems Experience working in Linux environments and virtualised infrastructures (e.g., VMware) Familiarity with the ECSS AIV process Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, and technical documentation management University degree in Aerospace, Telecommunications, Electronics, or Computer Science & Engineering Full professional proficiency in English (≥ B2) Nice to have: Experience in space or defence projects Exposure to Ground Segment operations Personal Skills: Proactive and solution-driven mindset for problem-solving and troubleshooting Accountability and goal-oriented approach, taking full ownership of tasks Excellent customer liaison capability and team-oriented attitude Curious and eager to explore innovative solutions Willingness to relocate to Rome (if applicable) and start a project until January 2026 Extra Information Work location: Rome (Tor Tre Teste area – well connected by public transport and with parking available) Work mode: 5 days per week on-site Type of contract: fixed-term freelance Benefits: Competitive package, exclusive company events, international projects, and a dynamic environment.
