Requirements
Good level of English (B2 or C1)
Bachelor degree
Experience in full stack application design and development
Java programming language
ECMA Script (being able to program JavaScript code even without libraries or frameworks)
Main JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, D3, Angular, ExtJS)
Applications design including usage of template systems like Bootstrap
AJAX connections
Service Oriented Architectures (REST)
XML, XSL including Java libraries to parse and transform XML
JSON including Java libraries to parse and serialize data
Relational DBMS programming including SQL and JDBC
Versioning systems
HTML5, CSS3 and/or SCSS
Good knowledge of:
Tomcat servlet container including installation, maintenance, fine-tuning and web application design
Internet protocols including HTTP, TCP/IP
Python programming language
Authentication protocols
Relational DBMS including MySQL and/or SQLite and/or PostgreSQL
Business process analysis
IT Infrastructure Library framework
Valuable skills:
Experience with Text Mining tools and techniques
Knowledge of additional languages, besides English
Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g. Typescript, Objective‑C, etc), frameworks (e.g. ReactJS, Node.js)
Index technologies like Lucene, Solr, Elastic search, etc
Functions/responsabilities
To analyse and implement change requests and to perform re‑engineering activities on the platform architecture addressing both client and server side components and tools
Analyse change requests, assess their impact on the platform, design and implement solutions for TMA-CC/EMM applications
Design and develop new user interfaces, tools and web applications according to requirements. Prepare visual prototypes and mock‑ups
Provide programming support for the existing Java and Web components and applications
Provision of expert advice on Web harvesting and Web data extraction techniques with a focus on‑line news outlets
Assistance in the configuration and fine‑tuning of the sources
Contribute to the definition and configuration of proof‑of‑concepts and prototypes to demonstrate benefits of the proposed solutions against initial stakeholders’ requirements
Produce technical documentation
