Helps to increase guest and employee satisfaction through effective communications and training. /p h3CANDIDATE PROFILE /h3 h3Education And Experience /h3 ul liHigh school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC‑R/electrical/plumbing. /li li2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC‑R/electrical/plumbing. /li /ul pbOR /b /p h3CORE WORK ACTIVITIES /h3 h3Managing Engineering Operations and Budgets /h3 ul liManages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems. /li liEnsures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards. /li liManages and controls heat, light and power and recommends current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations. /li liDevelops specifications and requirements for service contracts and administers such contracts to support building needs. /li liDistributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion. /li liOversees and directs the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles and recreational facilities. /li liDevelops a long term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection and overseeing execution of plan. /li liDevelops project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs. /li liContacts contractors for bids and supervising construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines. /li liBuilds positive relationships with external customers such as city building/zoning department, fire prevention bureau and vendors. /li liEnsures fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment and alarms. /li liPerforms monthly property inspection to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition. /li liConducts guest room and common area inspection to ensure guest satisfaction. /li liInspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required. /li liRecommends or arranges for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment. /li liSelects and orders or purchasing new equipment, supplies, and furnishings. /li liManages parts and equipment inventory. /li /ul h3Maintaining Property Standards /h3 ul liEnsures building and equipment licenses and certifications are current. /li liMaintains property life safety systems (fire fighting equipment, sprinkler systems and alarm systems). /li /ul h3Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service /h3 ul liDisplays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifying excellent customer service and creating a positive atmosphere for guest relations. /li liReviews comment cards, guest satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement. /li liShares plans with property leadership and ensuring corrective action is taken to continuously improve guest satisfaction. /li liStrives to improve service performance. /li /ul h3Conducting Human Resources Activities /h3 ul liSupervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met. /li liHelps train employees in safety procedures. /li liAssists in training other department employees in fire protection, safety and evacuation procedures. /li liProvides feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors. /li liAssists in performing operational activities as necessary. /li /ul pAt Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
