Cloud Platform Operations Engineer – AWS
The Cloud Platform Operations Engineer – AWS is responsible for the hands‑on operation of the Imaging & Informatics cloud platform.
Cloud Platform Operations Engineers are the operational backbone of the CloudOps organization. Once a product has met operational readiness requirements, this team is responsible for provisioning infrastructure, deploying cloud services, configuring AWS resources, and maintaining the operational health of the environment.
Your Role
- Ensure day‑to‑day operation, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and platform services with high reliability and uptime.
- Work closely with Cloud Operations Readiness Lead, product engineering teams, and service organization to ensure stable production environments.
- Develop expertise in AWS operations, Infrastructure‑as‑Code, automation, and monitoring, contributing to platform scalability and operational efficiency improvements.
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure and platform services, including configuration, scaling, patching, and upgrades.
- Monitor environments and troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve critical incidents to ensure service continuity.
You're The Right Fit If You Have
- 5–10 years in cloud/platform operations, strong hands‑on experience with AWS production environments and incident management.
- Strong knowledge of AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, monitoring), Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), CI/CD pipelines, scripting (Python/Bash), and production troubleshooting.
- a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog), and strong automation mindset with focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
