But at the same time, you don't shy away from getting involved whenever necessary.You'll be directly responsible for supervising a team of Area Managers and their direct reports: meanwhile, you will report to the Site Lead of your Fulfillment Center. The quality of your leadership is key to achievement in this role: you'll motivate and inspire your teams to do their best work, while planning schedules and activities that balance their needs with that of the business.Another key aspect of your role will be to coordinate on numerous process improvement projects, with the aim of streamlining all activities, both for yourself and the team members you supervise. (Sunday to Wednesday)Key Job ResponsibilitiesMaintaining Health and Safety standards within your remit area, while promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on-siteBecome a subject matter expert on specific, larger-scale processes and activities within FCsHandle timely data collection, updating operations metrics on an hourly basis within the inventory control and systems environmentAchieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors and ensure a high-quality customer experienceWork closely with other support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, IT) on staffing plans, schedules and performance levelsImplement process change and contribute in cross-functional Six Sigma initiatives within your site and the broader Amazon Operations networkBasic QualificationsPrevious experience in leading large, diverse teamsExperience in employee and performance managementExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProven experience in a similar, innovative logistics, distribution or manufacturing environmentProven ability in establishing and carrying out root cause analysis, and then extracting and analysing the data you generateWork a flexible shift/work area, which may include days/nights and weekendsPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or a related fieldStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilitiesExperience managing contingent workforce in a business with peak seasonExperience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniquesKnowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be highly advantageousAcknowledgement of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
