Accountabilities
* Identify potential suppliers based on technical specifications;
* Formulate requests for tenders;
* Formulate requests for quotations;
* Assess and negotiate tenders received;
* Issue orders / framework contracts through the SAP corporate management system;
* Forward, approve, ship, and archive purchase orders;
Main Interfaces
* The resource for the performance of tasks will relate to the following institutions:
* Supply Chain, for the definition and optimization of requirements and logistics;
* Maintenance, Engineering, and Operation, for studying technical issues;
* Sales, regarding offers necessary for acquiring sales orders from Hitachi Rail's customers;
* Program Management, for aligning supply programs and respecting budgets;
* Administration & Finance, for closing the liability cycle and managing sureties;
* Legal, for legal and contractual matters.
Requirements
* Technical-commercial training (degree in engineering, management, economics, or legal disciplines);
* Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings;
* Previous experience, even minimal, as a Buyer;
* Excellent skills in MS Office and main computer tools;
* Knowledge of SAP MM environment system;
* Excellent command of the English language;
* Proven negotiation skills, complemented by strong analytical and management abilities.
