We're a new research lab in San Francisco focused on developing foundational capabilities for enabling useful AI agents. Our research combines large language models (LLMs) with reinforcement learning (RL) to solve reasoning and planning, learn world models, and generalize agents to physical environments. The lab works with Amazon's broader AGI team and builds on the newly introduced Amazon Nova foundation models.
Key Responsibilities
The Product Manager – Technical role defines and prioritizes tooling roadmaps that support data collection, model evaluation, and release processes, balancing custom builds. You will bridge research and engineering by translating complex technical needs from researchers into actionable product requirements, ensuring tools address real‐world bottlenecks and scale workflows.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Deep technical expertise and detailed understanding of neural networks, large language models, reinforcement learning, model evaluation, and data annotation.
- Experience building products for highly technical users.
- Love for ambiguity and creating something new from scratch.
- Outstanding ability to clearly articulate product vision and requirements in written documents.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in AI agents – bonus if you've worked in the space (either formally or through side projects).
Compensation & Benefits
Base pay ranges from $150,000 per year in our lowest geographic market to $325,000 per year in our highest market, depending on location, skills, and experience.
