Job Description
Technical Support Engineers (TSE) partner with customers to ensure their success through deep technical knowledge of Products, Platforms, and Systems. TSEs respond to and anticipate technical needs to help maintain or accelerate our customers' development schedule, building customer loyalty and gaining a reputation as trusted technical partners. TSEs advocate for our customers by recommending Platform and System improvements to R&D, providing customer insights to sales, and ensuring Emerson Test & Measurement (T&M) is prepared to support new Products and Systems .
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Resolve technical issues for customers across all account tiers, including installation, implementation, and maintenance of Emerson T&M products and platforms.
* Advance complex technical issues internally to the appropriate support group while maintaining ownership of customer interaction.
* Report design, reliability, or maintenance issues or bugs to R&D that arise during support interactions.
* Identify new sales opportunities during support interactions and share insights through sales channels.
Build customer proficiency for all account tiers through standard services
* Educate customers via formal training and technical support engagements.
* Guide customers through basic product startup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of solutions.
Capture and document knowledge to enable self-service resolution
* Learn and adopt Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodology.
* Create and edit Knowledge Base articles to empower customers to self-serve.

You build customer relationships, seek out experts and innovators, and take positive action after setbacks.
For This Role, You Will Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
* Proficiency in one or more programming languages (LabVIEW experience preferred).
* Fluent in English and Italian (mandatory).
* Eligibility for Italian security clearance.
* Availability to travel up to 10% within Italy and EMEA.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable explaining technical concepts.
* Strong problem-solving skills, able to integrate information and find creative solutions.
* Knowledge of electronic circuit design and basic electronic instrumentation.
* Adaptability and enthusiasm for solving complex engineering challenges.
* Team-oriented with effective collaboration skills.
* Experience in customer-facing roles.
