Your work will contribute directly to simplifying and optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, enhancing product quality, and increasing overall productivity. /ppstrongYour Role /strong /ppThe role of Automation Engineer will involve: /pulliLead the design and operational deployment of automation systems in production. /liliServe as the main point of contact for engineering teams on all industrial automation-related projects and issues. /liliCollaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to launch new automated processes or improve existing ones. /liliProvide technical support for troubleshooting automation-related production problems. /liliEvaluate and engage with technology suppliers; scout new technologies and champion innovative automation solutions. /liliPartner with manufacturing leaders to define mid- and long-term automation strategies across the production chain. /liliExtend accountability and support to the ZEISS Sunlens manufacturing plant in China, ensuring global alignment. /li /ulpstrongYour Experience /strong /ppAs Automation Engineer you will have: /pulliExperience Autonomy: 3+ years in highly automated manufacturing (preferably mechanical or plastic components), with the ability to independently manage automation projects and coordinate internal teams and suppliers. /liliTechnical Leadership: Skilled in drafting technical specifications and driving automation/digitalization initiatives to streamline production processes and enhance control systems. /liliOrganizational Skills: Strong planning, resource management, teamwork, and a results-oriented approach in industrial environments. /liliProgramming Software: Proficient in C, C++, Java, Python (preferably LabWindows/CVI), with experience in software analysis, development, and PC/PLC systems for measurement and automation. /liliControl Systems Protocols: Solid understanding of control system theory, system modelling, and communication protocols like CAN, CANOpen, EtherCAT, and UDP. /liliMechanical Embedded Knowledge: Background in mechanical engineering and hands-on experience with sensors, actuators, motors, PLCs, embedded systems, and compliance with safety/quality standards. /li /ulpbr/ppYou will ideally have: /pulliKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning technologies. /liliExpertise in the creation of Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI). /liliExpertise in Model Based Design. /liliKnowledge of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC /li /ulpstrongOur Benefits /strong /pulliCompetitive salary aligned to skills and experience /liliRemote working options /liliBonus incentives /li /ulpbr/ppPlease note you must be able to speak Fluent Italian and English to be considered for this position.
