Job summary/Role descriptionHe reports to the HSE Head of Department, and he verifies and ensures that all activities are performed according to the MAIRE HSE Policy, the regulations, standards, and procedures, promoting all preventive and corrective action as required.Duties and responsibilitiesSupports HSE Head of department in defining HSE policies, guidelines, roles, and responsibilitiesEnsures the implementation, updating, review, and auditing of company HSE systemsMonitors the effective application of safety and environmental procedures, updating them according to regulations and company directivesMotivates and familiarizes company personnel with the importance of complying with system procedures and safety equipmentAssists the Commercial, Engineering, and Operations departments with health and safety issues at workConducts internal and external safety audits, participates in incident investigations, and analyzes incident statistics, suggesting improvement plansProvides technical support to Senior Management on safety-related topics and conducts in-house safety trainingPerforms risk assessments and participates in HSE meetings before procurement and installation activitiesPrepares health and safety documentation for new tenders and supports the preparation of plans and procedures for contract start-up activitiesMaintains up-to-date knowledge of international standards and proposes changes based on lessons learnedVerifies the completeness and correctness of HSE plans for projects and sends performance indicators to the HSE Head of departmentCollaborates with the Prevention and Protection Department (RSPP according to Italian law) and participates as a Lead Auditor in system inspection activitiesOrganizes and participates in on-site HSE training activities, HSE meetings, and incident investigationsCoordinates the site HSE committee and emergency response team, organizing drills and mock activitiesPrepares and updates HSE statistics, verifying performance against company objectives and proposing recovery plans in case of discrepancies.Skills and AbilitiesBachelor’s degree in science/engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE Management Systems.5 or above years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environment.Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Incident Investigation, HSE Auditing TechniquesISO 14001:2004 and ISO45001:2018 standards knowledgeGood knowledge of EnglishExcellent IT and analytical skillsExcellent communications, team-oriented and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivation and direction, with a strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
