The role Xylem is seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated HR Manager - Italy to join our team at a plant with over 800 employees. The HR Manager will lead the HR department to achieve optimal service levels within company policies, employment laws, regulations, and the organization’s mission, vision, and philosophy. They will also focus on development requirements within the organization and participate in local and global projects to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with operational plans to support the business. Main Responsibilities Develop HR policies ensuring consistency across countries and regions. Create a cohesive Xylem culture across different business segments. Collaborate closely with the HR Shared Service Team to ensure accurate administration (payroll, contracts). Ensure compliance with labor legislation, including union relations. Advise and support management to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. Communicate clearly and support management and employees regarding organizational changes and policies. Represent employee needs and interests. Develop and align HR policies at the country level. Support management with HR-related issues, including recruitment, training, and career development. Ensure compliance with employment policies and legislation. Stay informed on social legislation, trends, and HR developments. Maintain contact with works councils and union representatives. Provide management reports and information. Develop HR strategies, policies, and procedures from a country perspective and lead their implementation. Identify training and development needs based on organizational goals and current programs. Proactively address HR issues through concrete plans and activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within an international environment. Strong experience in union relations. Experience working in a matrix organization on a global scale. Experience in manufacturing environments. Proven leadership skills. Fluent in Italian and English, both verbal and written. Up-to-date knowledge of social legislation and HR innovations.
