Role OverviewAs a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) in Microsoft Global Delivery, you will provide deep technical expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), supporting enterprise customers through design, deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization of modern virtual desktop and application delivery solutions. You will work closely with customers and internal delivery teams to resolve complex end‐user computing (EUC) challenges across cloud and hybrid environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and high‐performance virtual desktop experiences aligned with Microsoft best practices. This position requires fluency in both Italian and English.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a technical authority for Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows virtual desktop architectures.Design, deploy, and troubleshoot Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including:Host pools (pooled and personal)Session host scaling and availabilityDiagnose and resolve issues related to:User connectivity and session performanceFSLogix profile containersUser profile and data managementApplication delivery and compatibilitySupport identity and access integration using:Conditional Access and authentication flowsAnalyze and remediate issues involving:AVD networking (VNETs, DNS, routing, latency)Azure compute and storage used by session hostsWindows OS internals, including event logs, performance counters, and registryIntegrate AVD with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager for device and policy management.Apply strong security principles to virtual desktop environments, including identity, access control, and endpoint protection.Collaborate with internal teams to deliver high‐quality, repeatable solutions aligned with Global Delivery standards.Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence initiatives.Required Technical SkillsStrong hands‐on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.Proven experience designing and supporting:Host pools, session hosts, and application groupsDeep understanding of:FSLogix profiles and Office containers.User profile management and performance optimization.Solid knowledge of:Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and hybrid identity.Authentication and authorization concepts.Session instability and application issues.Strong familiarity with performance monitoring, event logs, and registry analysis.Experience with Azure IaaS components used by AVD (VMs, disks, storage accounts).Preferred QualificationsExperience working in Enterprise support or delivery environments.Exposure to End‐User Computing (EUC) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions.Familiarity with:Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.Security features such as Conditional Access and Defender.Strong problem‐solving and root cause analysis skills.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non‐technical audiences.#J-18808-Ljbffr
