An Indian subsidiary of Amazon.com, a US‑based MNC in the payments business, is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel (ACC) in Bangalore. The role is a fixed term of 3 years and reports to a Corporate Counsel / Senior Corporate Counsel.
The ACC will partner with cross‑functional legal and business teams to provide legal counsel, draft and negotiate contracts, ensure corporate secretarial compliance, manage privacy initiatives, and coordinate with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide ongoing legal counseling on data privacy, technology law, corporate secretarial, and regulatory compliance.
* Develop, review, and maintain privacy arrangements including data sharing agreements, privacy policies, notices, consent frameworks, and internal SOPs.
* Monitor regulatory developments in data protection and assess their impact on the business.
* Provide privacy and data protection advice for new products, features, and business initiatives.
* Project manage privacy initiatives and coordinate with internal and global teams.
* Analyze and assess business processes, draft contract scopes, and communicate effectively with all levels of management.
* Apply strong legal and business judgment.
* Communicate in English with excellent written and oral skills.
* Maintain a collaborative mindset and interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications
* 3+ years of legal experience.
* LL.B. (undergraduate law degree) from a recognized university in India.
* Associate Member (ACS) with the Institute of Company Secretaries India (ICSI) with a valid membership.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in both corporate law firm and in‑house roles.
* Experience working with financial services partners.
